Box Flute Info

What is a Box Flute?

Box Flutes are Simply that, a Flute in the Shape of a Box! It has an Ocarina Feel with its Enclosed Sound Chamber. Steve's Original Box Flute Design was Influenced by His Love of Native American Flutes, Shakuhachi Flutes, and Breathwork Practices for Mediation and Health.

They E
nable You to Create a Relaxed Atmosphere with Ease by Playing the Basic Scale. Add Embellishments to the Scale and You are Starting to Play Your Heart Song.
The Size and Shape make them Super Travel Friendly! Our Customers have taken them Hiking through the Rockies and other sites. They've gone Biking, on RV trips, and found Their Place in the Tiny House Movement!
We offer several keys to choose from:

Soprano B - Alto G - Tenor F - Bass D

Flute Sound Clips

Click on the link above and you'll find more Box Flute sound clips! You'll see the Travel Dulcimers first :) This is a clip of Ethany playing a Tenor, Key of F - Box Flute. It's one of our favorite keys. Even with being nervous about playing in front of the camera, she is still able to create a peaceful sound and find ease with her breath. Scale first, then improv from the heart...aka the Heart Song.
